The Maca Team is a family run company of true maca specialists here to bring you the most maca has to offer. We are passionate about sharing high quality Peruvian grown Maca with the world and proud to offer the best selection of maca products anywhere.  Our products are always organically grown, fairly traded, non-gmo, gluten free, fresh and potent. 

Our single-minded focus on Peruvian maca allows us to do some important things differently

We source only the best organic maca.  It took us a long time to find and develop relationships with our farmers in Peru.   We were careful to choose a co-operative of farms that is focused 100% on organic and traditional agriculture.  They grow maca in the ancestral home of the root, Junin province.   And they honor traditional growing methods that calls for resting the land for 10 years between crops.  We are very happy to support this amazing work.   All of our maca is certified organic by Control Union Certifications.  They adhere to the stringent European certification guidelines and certify the entire process, from agricultural lands, to harvesting to production.

We sell only the freshest maca products.   Maca is harvested one time per year - between June and August each year.  Because we order in small batches, our maca is continually made fresh and almost always from the current year’s harvest of maca roots. Most of the time our products are in our customer's hands within 3-4 months of being produced.   Mainstream maca sellers order in huge bulk shipments and products can often sit around for up to 2 years before going out to customers.

We take great care that our maca is packaged to preserve potency.   We use a foil lined double sealed totally opaque bag for our powders, safety sealed amber jars for our capsules and amber jars for our extracts.  This keeps light, humidity and oxygen away from the product and ensures maximum efficacy of our maca.   

We rigorously test all of our products.    Each of our products must pass a strict Certificate of Analysis (COA) before it reaches us.  We also do extra testing to make sure our products are free of pesticides and heavy metals.

We ensure fair prices for everyone.  We pay above market price to farmers for our products and work on smaller margins in order to give our customers fair prices.

We offer the most complete and transparent information on maca anywhere online.  We work hard to maintain an accurate and updated website and base our articles on scientific research whenever possible.
